Step-by-step plan
Stage 1: formulating goals and projects
In close consultation with you, we determine what the key strategic goals and projects are for your company. These projects mostly concern innovations or significant changes in business models or technology, and they make an essential contribution in helping you strengthen your market position. If desired, modern brainstorming and decision-making techniques can be used to define the projects.
Step 2: designing the curriculum
Once the goals and projects have been formulated, the programme target group is determined. Experts from TU Delft design a curriculum that corresponds to your objectives. In close consultation with you, parts of existing programmes are combined with elements devised specifically for your company. The advantages of using existing material are cost-efficiency and the fact that it has a proven track record. The curriculum and the projects are designed to allow a high level of interaction between the participants and the instructors.
Step 3: teaching the curriculum
When it comes to teaching the curriculum, we rely on academic knowledge and the latest trends, supplemented by real-life case histories. The participants are taught different ways of thinking and are given a range of situations to consider. They are encouraged to take an active part in the proceedings through individual and group assignments, and to come up with fresh, but feasible, ideas. The curriculum-based work and the projects go hand in hand.
Step 4: presentation of the results by the participants
At the conclusion of the curriculum, the participants present the results of their projects to a delegation from their organisation and experts from TU Delft. The delegation from the organisation assesses the relevance and the applicability of the projects, and whether they have been a success or not. The experts evaluate the substance of the results and indicate whether the theoretical knowledge and methods have been used effectively in the decision-making process. The views expressed by the two groups provide the participants with a useful insight into their projects.
