Are you a retail professional looking to make your mark? Want to create successful concepts to beat stiff competition? Need to understand the economic, psychological, social and cultural factors which persuade shoppers to spend their money with you?
If so, the Master in Retail Design & Management programme is a unique opportunity to acquire the know-how behind retail success and the leadership skills to make it yours. This truly international programme is the first to use design thinking as the driving force in retail strategy.
Working in Mumbai, India over six months, you discover how societies shape shopping cultures – and are shaped by them. You also explore your own role in that process.
How does retail design influence the way shoppers behave? What is its global economic and political impact?
And how do you apply that understanding to innovate and communicate effectively in the retail environment?
The Delft TopTech Master in Retail Design & Management covers six months and contains four one-week modules, followed by a thesis project. Each module will take place in Mumbai, India. The first module focuses on the context of retail design, while the second module looks at strategy, the phase before design. The third module, innovation, is built on the modules of context and strategy and is focused on retail concept development. The fourth module takes a closer look at the social processes, namely communication in retail design. Finally, in the thesis project all covered elements will come together.
The portfolio of courses are offered in cooperation between Delft TopTech, DYPDC College and Delft University of Technology.
